Ahmedabad: The Apollo Trauma Masterclass 2024, hosted by Apollo Hospitals Ahmedabad, gathered top experts in trauma care to tackle crucial topics, exchange insights, and explore innovative strategies for enhancing trauma management and emergency response. India grapples with an alarming trauma crisis, witnessing a trauma-related death every 1.9 minutes. Road traffic injuries are the primary contributor to these fatalities. Although India possesses merely 1% of the global motorized vehicles, it accounts for 11% of the world’s automobile accidents. According to the World Bank, there are approximately 450,000 road accidents annually in India, leading to around 150,000 deaths. In light of this, prompt trauma care is essential.
