Karnataka Tourism successfully wrapped up its presence at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad held at Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, from August 7th to 9th, 2024. The event effectively highlighted the state’s cultural heritage, tourism attractions, and partnerships with industry players. Notably, the Karnataka Tourism Pavilion received the Excellence Award for Best Design and Decoration, underscoring the state’s dedication to showcasing its tourism assets with excellence.
Karnataka Tourism made a significant impact at TTF Ahmedabad by showcasing the state’s vibrant tourism industry. The delegation, headed by Dr. S. Thippaswamy, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, along with Mr. Srinivas, Public Relations Officer at Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., Mrs. Sujatha, Manager at Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd., and Mrs. Shobha, Manager at Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd., were accompanied by key stakeholders from various sectors. These included hospitality, travel agencies, tour operators, and representatives from heritage and eco-tourism initiatives, all working together to promote Karnataka as a top travel destination.
The Karnataka Tourism Pavilion welcomed the Principal Secretary of Tourism from the Government of Gujarat, Mr. Rajendra Kumar (IAS), along with the Managing Director and Commissioner of Tourism, Ms. Saidingpuii Chhakchhuak (IAS). The state’s booth drew significant attention by presenting a diverse array of attractions and experiences, focusing notably on the renowned Hoysaleshwara Temple in Halebidu. Notable features included Karnataka’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the breathtaking Hampi, the impressive Pattadakal, and the intricate temples of Belur. Each location was showcased as a representation of Karnataka’s rich historical and architectural heritage, providing visitors with a glimpse into the state’s lively legacy. Furthermore, the booth highlighted Karnataka’s pristine beaches, lush hill stations, and thriving wildlife sanctuaries, showcasing the state’s natural and cultural richness.
During the event, the Karnataka Tourism delegation had fruitful discussions with travel professionals, tour operators, and potential partners.
