On the inaugural day of the 9th Convocation Ceremony at Indus University in Ahmedabad, Shri Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon, honored the event as the Chief Guest. Dr. D.P. Giridhar, the Founder Vice-Chancellor of Indus University, served as the Guest of Honor, enhancing the occasion’s significance.
During the gathering, Shri Raghu Panicker congratulated the students and stressed the significance of embracing challenges throughout life. He urged them to engage in continuous learning, uphold core values, and acquire new skills to tackle life’s challenges. He emphasized the wealth of opportunities available for personal growth and underscored the importance of being prepared and resilient to attain success.
The Guest of Honor, Dr. D.P. Giridhar, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the students, wishing them the best in their future pursuits and inspiring them to reach new levels of success. During the convocation ceremony, degrees were conferred upon more than 1,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students from various affiliated institutes of Indus University. Moreover, 22 students were awarded doctoral degrees. Thirteen outstanding students from different faculties received gold medals, while six students were recognized with special awards.
In addition, to honor their remarkable contributions to society and the global community, Dr. Kavita Katti and Shri Anantkumar Hegde were awarded honorary Ph.D. degrees.The ceremony was honored by the presence of numerous dignitaries, such as Dr. Nagesh Bhandari and Dr. Ritu Bhandari, President Secretariat of Indus University, Ms. Radhika Bhandari, Director of Western India Institute of Aeronautics, along with members of the Board of Management, the Board of Governors, and distinguished individuals from various sectors.
On the second day of the convocation, Smt. Beena Kothdiya, the Country Head of Arabella Solutions, will serve as the Chief Guest, providing her blessings and guidance to the students. The 9th Convocation Ceremony of Indus University was broadcast live on the university’s YouTube channel, enabling friends, family, and supporters from around the globe to join in celebrating the accomplishments of the graduates.
