To enhance business ties between India and Africa, the South African Development Community India Office (SADC office) was inaugurated in Ahmedabad, India by African delegates. The event was graced by notable attendees including Her Excellency Mrs. Lebohang Valentine Mochaba, the High Commissioner of Lesotho State in India, Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of IETO, Mr. Wali Kashvi, Vice President of IETO, and Sushma Pawar, Director of Corporate Relations at IETO.

Prakash Soni from India has been appointed Chairman of the India Africa Trade Council (SADC office – Southern African Development Community). This appointment is set to enhance India-Africa trade relations. Africa presents numerous opportunities in diamond mining, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals. The government will establish a direct Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate trade between India and Africa, ensuring a secure business environment.

SADC, following the Indian government’s directives, will significantly enhance trade with Africa. The organization will play a crucial role in opening up vast opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs across Africa.
