Ahmedabad Book Club hosted “An Evening with Sumant Batra” event , at Alliance Française d’Ahmedabad, where Sumant Batra’s new book “Anarkali” was launched.
The event showcased the renowned writer Sumant Batra, who mesmerized the crowd with a captivating conversation about his recent book, “Anarkali.” Batra shared personal stories, insights into his writing process, and the historical and cultural factors that influenced his storytelling. Sumat Batra said, “I have endeavored to reconstruct the enigma surrounding this woman (Anarkali), known to us only by her silhouette, by imbuing her with an identity, a name, a family, and a life that extends beyond the tragic love story she has been associated with.
