New Delhi: Bhumi, one of India’s foremost non-profit organizations dedicated to youth empowerment and social change, has partnered with realme, the leading smartphone brand among Indian youth, to expand its reach through various educational and community development initiatives. Through this collaboration, Bhumi will enhance its vital initiatives, including the Bhumi Fellowship, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Program, Schools of Excellence, Ignite Shelters, and Bhumi Clubs. These programs aim to improve education, leadership, and civic engagement, promoting holistic development for underserved youth. By equipping young individuals with essential tools, resources, and knowledge, realme is committed to creating a brighter and more inclusive future.
The Bhumi Fellowship is an innovative, two-year paid program that empowers young changemakers to address educational disparities in low-income communities. Fellows gain hands-on experience in under-resourced government schools by teaching essential skills, supporting educators, involving parents, and facilitating comprehensive school transformation. Developed by Bhumi, the largest youth volunteering organization in India, this Fellowship cultivates a group of future leaders dedicated to systemic education reform. Since its inception in 2020, the program has welcomed 21 fellows and positively influenced 5,352 students. Currently, it engages 75 fellows who are impacting over 13,017 students and continues to support alumni driving change within the education sector. Through immersive training, mentorship, and community involvement, the Bhumi Fellowship is not only transforming schools but also shaping the next generation of educational leaders.
The Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Program promotes emotional intelligence and resilience in students, providing them with vital life skills. Schools of Excellence focuses on enhancing educational environments through improved infrastructure, teacher training, and the adoption of innovative teaching methods. Ignite Shelters offers quality education and mentorship to children residing in shelter homes, while Bhumi Clubs encourage a culture of volunteerism and leadership among students in schools and colleges.
