The state government had recently sought international proposals for the Rs 2,203 crore initiative. In just two months, IG Drones completed the comprehensive airport survey. Now, the company will create a Detailed Project Report (DPR) by utilizing advanced drone technology to assess the project. They plan to use locally developed drones to consistently monitor the project’s development on-site.
The company plans to utilize locally developed drones with cutting-edge sensors for capturing high-resolution images, videos, and other data. This information is then analyzed using their exclusive software, IG One, to offer detailed technical analysis and real-time project monitoring.
Drones are becoming more important in infrastructure projects due to their efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. They decrease the need for manual labor, save time and expenses, and are utilized for monitoring construction progress, evaluating work quality, and identifying possible issues during the construction phase.

Named Sri Jagannath International Airport, it’ll be constructed near Puri’s Sipasarubali area, according to reports. The project’s first phase involves developing 4.6 million passengers per annum (mppa) capacity under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. It is estimated to cost Rs 2,203 crore and will cover an area of approximately 1,165 acres.

The company recently secured work order to conduct drone survey at NDMC Diamond Mining Project, Panna. In April, it bagged the contract for a crucial pipeline inspection at NTPC Darlipali Thermal Power Station in Odisha, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
